This 1783 Austrian Armoire is covered in rich hand painted faux bois, panels of deep red flowers on a blue back ground, with a substantial crown molding at the top. This cabinet was given as a wedding present and is made of solid pine. Notice the distinct lettering above the door that reads 1783; the year this cabinet was gifted the newly married couple.
